Growing up! (plus Q's)

I was given this flowerhorn for free at about 1.5". I was going to give him to my brother this summer. When he lost some tanks I kept the fish. As he gets older he seems to be getting a little more colorful. My questions are: What kind of FH is he? Do you think he will continue to get more color? I am new to FHs and I am debating on keeping him. My brother has some nice colored blue FHs (he told me the name but I don't remember JJ or QQ or some damn thing) and was going to bring me a female when he visits for Christmas. Thanks T.

Thank you. I assume it's a keeper then? I have the option of getting a female of the same type (she is smaller but I think the color is a little better), so I may pick her up. I'm from the U.P. of Michigan (hence the name) but I'm finishing up post-grad here in the Quad cites.
