Growing up! (plus Q's)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks all! It's great when a free fish turns out nice. I picked up a smaller FH that looks like he did when he was little for 5.00 after some dealing. The smaller one (which I hope is female) has better color than the male did when he was that size. I'll post pics. This hybrid thing is fun, it's nice that after close to three decades of fish keeping I find something new to get pumped about.

First off this fish is NOT low quality , and I think he can still develope a decent sized hump. If you are breeding him however, his hump will go down. Since you are new to FH I'm guessing you don't like those huge humps any how. He has very nice mix of yellow and red coloration throughout his body! what are you feeding him with currently?

Merlin- Yes he is fine (crossing fingers) with other fish.

Panther- Thanks, I think he looks pretty good myself. I don't care about the kok either way. I really like his personality, so much like a midas but much less aggressive. I mainly feed NLS, with krill, worms, and Omega flake. The fish is only about 5.5", so he has alot more developing to do.

You obviously know nothing about Excellent quality FlowerHorns that can go anywhere from 200.00 to 500.00 for a 3" FH.......... But being from NH you probably get mostly low quality trimacs labeled FH so i guess you wouldn't know. It is a nice looking fish without a doubt but is still rated very low in quality compared to a high priced specimen. I have a 3.5" Blue Dragon ZZ that ill post pics of soon so you can see what high quality is.
