I don't know how I feel about Sudo's fight with Butterbean (or Butterbean fights in general for that matter). I suppose he can throw a pretty powerful punch, but that's where his game ends. I'd rather see another legitimate fight than one of these sideshow act/freakshow fights. If I wanted to see something like that, I'd just watch some fat bully pick on a little guy at a bar.
Even if they're both pros though, there's no reason why a 150 pounder should be fighting a 350 pounder IMO (even if they're the same height).
I agree, I'm not down with the sideshow act/circus side of fighting sports. I don't like butterbean, not only is he a sideshow act, but he's a prick. And he couldn't even beat club fighters in boxing anymore, that's why he tried his luck in MMA.
Still, it's impressive, he's still a fighter, and Genki was literally a 3rd of his size.
I like Silva too. I still can't believe how easily cro cop battered him recently. The size difference was negligable, they were more or less the same size, but it wasn't even a fight. Did you expect that?

Yeah, I guess I wasn't really all that suprised about his last match with Cro Cop. Wandy is a stud, but sometimes he seems to get a little too reckless with his standup, and when you're facing someone with the standup skills of Cro Cop, there's not really much room for mistakes. Cro Cop just picked him apart this last time. I guess I'm a little more suprised he didn't win their first fight also. IMO, Cro Cop has the best overall standup in all of MMA right now. I was actually more suprised that Fedor was able to hang with Cro Cop on his feat.

Dacox - technically cro cop DOES have the best standup in MMA. He is one of the only MMA fighters I've seen who can actually punch. His overall hand techniques are nothing special, in regards to tricks, parries, feints, double jabs and combinations.
However - that straight left is very fast for his size, very accurate, and very powerful. Very good timing too.
So technically he is the best, better than Fedor, Fedor is simply tougher with better stamina and more balls.

Yeah, and I agree, the best standup in mma still doesn't compare to the punching ability of a proboxer or the overall standup of a pro kick boxer or a pro muay tai fighter. I guess that K1 experience is what sets Cro Cop ahead of the rest of the pack in mma (his left high kick is nasty too). The difference in skill, IMO, all comes down to the fact that in mma, a good striker has to worry about defending take downs and contending with other aspects of the standup game like knees and elbows that other sports dont have.
