it sounds funny but i have allways feed my large cichlids boiled boneless chicken breast and they grow super fast and looked killer.

he has gotten really big about 7in and i didnt turn on the light so you cant really see his colour
Thanks! I thought the same when I spotted him at Petsmart.I've never bought a fish from them but in a tank with probably 20 he really stood out and I couldn't resist. I believe he was like $5.99.

Last night I picked up a couple plants from an LFS and I noticed that they had separated a pair of young GT's (3") who had bonded, spawned, and were already guarding free-swimming fry.
I was lured once again into keeping green terrors
This time I'm going to try spawning them, so I picked up a small 3" pair, and already they seem to be getting a long great.
These pics are of the fish fresh out of the bag, but they are bloodworms and are settling in extremely well. I'll have better pics in a couple days:
