I have a question, might as well ask here since it seems an appropriate place.

How do you know yours is a male? I dont know how to sex them other than the male getting a hump on his head. But sometimes the hump doesnt show that well. So is there other things you look at to determine sex? I read that the males usually have a bluish anal fin, whereas the female will have a greenish one.

Plus with males they will be more colorful and appear more metallic, and the female not so.

Trying to tell what is green and what is blue is pretty much impossible. The color varies based on the angle of the lighting. I am almost positive mine is male because of the long traily dorsal fin, plus the color.

I bought him around december 20th or so in 2007. I think he was about 2-2.5 inches, but I can't really remember. I haven't tried to measure him recently, but I think hes over 5 inches.

He's such a slow grower but with this one it's quality over quantity(size).

I really love these progression threads. More people should do them.

The dorsal fin indicates its male.

just because it "looks" like a male does not mean it is. females get pretty colorful at one point as well and it just might be 2 soon to tell.

FSM nice green terror u have there!
