Sorry if you posted this already (I didn't want to try and figure out how many months its been since you purchased, and what that equates to at 2.5 months per inch), but what is the current length? And does that include the fin?

And do you have any other cichlids in this tank?
 
I bought him around december 20th or so in 2007. I think he was about 2-2.5 inches, but I can't really remember. I haven't tried to measure him recently, but I think hes over 5 inches.

No cichlid tankmates, just some clown loaches and giant danios in a 75.
 
Nice. I think mine is about 3" without the tail, I need to pull him out and measure him. At about 3" he really started to fill out size wise, became quite a bit taller. Looks quite a bit bigger than my similar sized JD. Do you have a full tank size shot to get some perspective?

which vid lol? He's in with some CLs and danios, thats it.

The tank is a standard 75, 48"x18"
