yeah same wiht mine i think they might get better color onece they sexualy mature tho im not shure but mine has some nice blue color on his gill plates

im back, I never had a female with him. One of the reasons cichlids grow nuchal humps is to try and influence the female to breed. And even at that, not all GT males grow humps. And yes, I'm 100% positive that he was a male. Males are more colorful, have pointed fins, and IME have a wider ban of color on their tails than do the darker less colorful females. The long pointed trailer fins that Cuervo had was a sure sign that he was male.

I've got three Gold Saum which I believe are not the true GT, but I honestly think they are more impressive than the real McCoy. They are +/- 5months old now and really starting to colour up.
