Nice pick up!
In a way Im pretty jealous. But in the same time relieved I dont have to house such a big one.
He/she's beautiful nonetheless.

Funny, a full grown croc male with a nasty reputation, goes with the name of: Cricket! LOL

What part of PA you from? and where do you plan on housing him or her full grown.

Haha, thanks. I doubt that she'll be very mean when she gets bigger provided that I raise her properly, but I still will not take any chances even if she does end up being reasonably docile.

I'm from western PA, about an hour northeast of Pittsburgh.

As for housing, I have a few options including (but not limited too) the unfinished room above our three car garage, a heated outdoor enclosure (heated pond with a heated indoor area; would have to be built but I have more than enough space), and a few other options. For the most part, any enclosure for her will be two-tiered if it's indoors in order to save space; the land area would be above the water area with a ramp leading down said water area (makes for a better basking area, too).

she is gr8!!!
waiting for more pics with clear pics!
all the best!
what did u name her finally?

Thanks! Her name is Cricket.

Awww, They're so cute when their little. And Cricket is a great name

Thanks!

I think you lost your marbles buddy

Haha, what is this nonsense? :grinno: She's not going to bankrupt me with a huge food bill since I hunt and fish, and I have the space to house her when she's at her adult size (expected to be in the 4-7 ft. range based on captive American alligator maximum sizes; could hit 10 ft. long, but that's even rare in the wild). As for the risk of getting bitten, I just have to go about this in a cautious manner and get her accustomed to me through frequent handling when small while getting her to associate her food dish with food rather than my hand.

I'd have lost my marbles if I had bought the albino burmese python that they had (good thing that I was convinced a while ago to not get one of those).

Cricket... Sounds evil... Kinda....
Again, if ya wanna come see mine im just a short drive. Just bring goodies
