guessing my VATF did this to Dorado

unbelievable, something's growing back. not sure if it'll ever become a full tail but better than nothing.

may be it'll grow back in the shape of a birchir tail and I'll call him a Dorado SPL

he looks totally fine.
i had an aro lose about 1/3 his body length when he was 2".
it all grew back and looked like a bichir's tail.
kept him til about 20".

guy's gotten beef cake i think because he's been a lot less active (for a dorado) after the injury. tailing's recovering fast, along with his bad attitude, going back with the shoal in another tank tomorrow.

I can remember telling you to prepare for a dead fish.

I have never owned a characin that would have made it back from that. Never owned any dorado etheir though

Hi, how is the condition of the dorado now? Sign of full recovery on the tail?

hey, he's fine and well. but hasnt grown much more than the last photo. thanks for asking.
