Gulper Catfish tank

Its always hot here in the philippines! Haha i seldom see hobbyists use heaters here. Unless their tanks are in airconditioned rooms. How big are your tanks?

In my sig as of now. 30 and 75 gallons, plus a 20 gallon soon.

Thanks man kinda surprising too that this particular raph is super active and not camera shy at all. Unlike his fellow raphs in there, he's usually out in the open with the gulper. Eats a like a pig tho haha

I have 4 with exodons, they eat every 3-4th day if they are active..you should go planted tank with soft acidic water.

My raphael went 2 months before I "think" he ate so I wouldn't worry to much.

Yeah, he's very active tho. I tried handfeeding him shrimp and i held a goldfish by the tail, he ignores them

Hehe raphaels can be so greedy at times. My biggest one is always first on the pellet pile. I do hope my gulper isnt sick or anything, ive read some posts that they do fast sometimes. So maybe he'll get his appetite back soon..i hope

The stimpmeister still hasnt fed. Its almost 2 weeks now. I put in some feeder barbs for the lil fella but he seems to be ignoring them as well. I also put in some black water extract to soften the water a bit. Has anybody here ever tried training their gulpers to hand feed? He doesnt seem to like the prawn or the silver side that i dangle over his face hehe.

Not the same species but I handfeed my Asian bumblebee catfish and occasionally my gibby. That's wired he isn't going for barbs...Have you tried feeding during lights off? Bright light at all may stress him and because you have an all nocturnal catfish tank with no ants it wouldn't hurt to get dimmer lights or no lights at all.
