Gulper Catfish tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He looks great!
When I got my little gulper all he'd eat was feeders but the trick to getting them off is freezing the feeders an then thawing them. Then they still get the taste but it introduces them to dead foods. And since gulpers have horrible eyesight they might not even tell the difference.

Thanks man! Yeah, il try that sometime. Got a question tho, have you guys ever tried feeding red jewels or any little cichlids to your catfishes? My gulper loves them, and has never really had any problems eating them. But my giant bumblebee catfish died just this morning. And i know the poor thing probably swallowed at least one red jewel. He was fine last night. Not really sure if he choked on a red jewel, or the gulper tried to swallow him and spat him out. The giant bbcat tho didn't have any visible damages (if he was man handled by the gulper). Its a sad loss

A little update on stimpy. He's about 6.5 inches now. This is him after eating two 4-inch cichlids. Well, as of this minute, he ate another one. So he's a lot bigger now than the pics i'll be posting.

The little runt ate 2 six inch denison barbs afterwards. Damn. I did not expect that. I thought they were too fast for him. How wrong was i. Now here he is, in his alt mode...a school bus

Thanks guys! A really huge typhoon hit manila just today. All my filters are out. I didnt have to worry about the bichirs. But i had to take out stimpy from his tank to manually aerate (my battery pump was busted). Am i doing things right? Basically, im just pouring over some water from time to time in the makeshift gulper container, to disturb the surface and create oxygen
