guppies being breed for live bait

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think self-bred livebearers are better then lfs feeders :)

i did tried to breed them for feeders but when they have grown, it was kinda hard for me to throw them in my monster tank lol!
i became a a lil softee taking care and feeding them when they were frys and all lol! i ended up giving them to my friends.

I love guppies...they're so awesome....I like 'em best between a couple pieces of bread with mayo.

Hi. Are there any members out there who keep guppies as pets, and are opposed to others feeding these little guys as live bait? I THINK ITS WRONG!!!!!!!!

well you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
but i have no problem with it. They are cheap and they breed like rabbits so they pretty much are expendable.

In my opinion.

Guppies are cool fish to keep, as feeders waiting to be fed to something else. LOL, just kidding, if you like them, cool. Me personally, I would feed a kitten to my fish if they were hungry, but thats just me.

Haha, No but seriously, in nature, they are still considered feeder fish to anything bigger then 3 inches long sooooo, pretty much the same thing. look at it this way, if you breed them, you are really only keeping a few original fish who make the babies, that wouldn't even exist if you didn't keep the original ones to breed, so your actually saving the guys. the babies on the other hand, are like scooby snacks to anything else. ummmmm, ummm, good.

I agree with your sentiment about guppies as feeders! It is little known that Guppies live on a Magical Island where no predator can ever hurt them. They are transported to fish stores around the world by Unicorns for the enjoyment of all. If they don't get eaten in the wild, they have no business being eaten in a tank. Hmm....

Can you give me the direction to the magical island? I wanna buy it.
