@RD I meant to ask what BP stands for? Seemingly a collection location since you used escondido in the same context

Hello everyone, so I have always found carpintis cichlids to be so incredibly beautiful. Especially the ones from the Escondido region. I found this little one at just over an inch and bought it. I say "it" because it is now around 3.0-3.5 inches in size and I still cant tell its gender. Any one out there with a good amount of experience that might be able to help me tell the gender would be greatly appreciated. I took the best photos I could get for now........Male or Female???

After lights out tonight I caught the carpintis whose vent I was unsure about. Here’s a pic. TBH I’m still stumped. The other carpintis has a small pointy triangluated vent that I’m 
is a male.
What do y’all think about this one;
I will endeavor to get a comparative pic of the other soon, but it was not having it tonight and I was about to tear the tank down for it since I’m certain he’s a bloke
