Definitely do a WC now, sorry for your loss man. experienced something pretty similar to this with lmb. friend of mine caught some at the lake and had them in the trunk of his car w/o water. They were still alive by the time he got home and he gave me 3 of them. They all ended up dying in a few days.

Sorry for your loss. I would just do a water change and watch the other fish closely. Sorry for your girlfriend, too, but tell her the tanks are bigger in heaven.
Now that he has passed i would just do a water change. How big are your current mono's? Maybe check out some of the online vendors and grab an occel, orino, kelberi, xingu or azul to grow out w/ the pack

I did a 20% WC last night right after I scooped him out. Then I vacuumed the area where he was laying and all that nasty stuff.
My mono is about 6", hes gotten so big so fast. Hopefully I can grow one out so he has another buddy soon. Hes hanging out with my RTC x TSN hybrid, he seems kinda confused lol.

I picked up another Mono at my LFS. They had one that would be compatible, and I couldnt wait lol. Still needs some beefing up, but they are getting along so well already. Only problem is he has a small case of Ick. I guess thats why all their tanks are so dimly lit. But hopefully he'll heal up soon and grow a little. Hes also alot lighter in color, he needs a tan. Looks white compaired to my other.
I also picked up a gold nugget pleco for my GF's tank. That made her day so I dont have to hear anymore about the suicidal bass.

did u put the new mono straight into the tank or QT it? If its got Ich turn up the heat and add aquarium salt.
I wish I had a QT tank. Temp is at 86 and already added salt. Should temp be higher? Thanks Chizzle.
86 is good.. with the salt the ich should be gone pretty quick. sorry for your loss, i was really hoping he was gonna make it.
