Had my first PetSmart fish purchase experience today!

Your original post in a nutshell is how it should go.... and i have to say I've made the person get me a different fish after traumatizing some fish once, and told them why they where getting me a different one.
 
Yeah and there was a woman with a child standing nearby looking at fish...The little boy yelled to his mother,"look,an electric eel!",and my attendant heard him and jumped right in with,"there are no electric eels here,no one sells them."
 
Ive always wanted one of those Ctenopoma acutirostre but I figured they wouldnt do well in an aggressive cichlid tank. The petsmarts he in so cal have them all the time. Cool that theyre starting to carry them in more places
 
I prank called petsmart and they where ACTUALLY GIVING THEIR HONEST OPINION AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE OK FOR A JACK DEMPSEY 2 OSCARS AND A BLACK GHOST KNIFE TO LIVE IN A 3 GALLON FISH BOWL FULL GROWN!!! I RECORDED THE PRANK CALL AND IF U GUYS WANT I CAN POST A LINK TO IT... IT IS HILARIOUS!!!

I occasionally pick up a rat when I stop in there and they make you feel out papers to track the sales and then they tell me there's a two week warranty on it I tell them its going to my snake and there faces just sink but I don't think I've ever been asked about the fish I've bought

I'm surprised they sell it too you, policy is they don't sell feeder rodents and are supposed to refuse the sale. They're also more expensive than feeders so why buy them?
