Haitiensis pairing update. Stage two I've made some holes in the divider and added some rocks for the female to hide in. So far so good.

Update. I removed the divider. The female went off her food and started pooing stringy poo. First thoughts was this Isn't going to work, stress bloat etc.
But after a couple of weeks she is now back feeding and pooing good. Must say they do look funny together.
