Haitiensis Growth Thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'll give that a try and see what they do. They're ***holes. Tried and true
Nah, just cichlids doing what they do. My male festae tries his best to splash water on me when I get near the tank. I can just be walking by. Now that's an A-hole!

I've done the power feeding trick several times and it does work.... however I'm not sure I'd trust it on these guys. Haitiensis are very prone to bloat from intestinal blockages. Just don't feed them for a couple of days. When they are hungry, they will eat =]

I have some. let me know when you get ready. Just a about an hour or so drive I can hook you up.

Most definitely!!!!!! Sadly my friend has a 150 that he can't find a reasonably priced stand for. If I had the space I'd buy it from him and have my festae!!!!!!

Grabbed a quick vid before work this morning so that you guys could see their behavior. Eventually I want to set up a stationary camera in the room so that I can see what type of Nasty Blackassery they get into when not being distracted by my with the phone up against the glass. Thanks for the awesome tips and compliments too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had pretty good luck so far but don't want to chance it. I originally had 6 but the "runt" of the group died when we moved and I had to put them in a bucket. I'm sure it was more stress related though.
