I think they are a great looking Cichlid, unless you've seen one in person you really don't fully appreciate them. I picked up two, one 10-12" and one 7-8" and traded them for a Festae pair, not because I didn't like the way they looked but because I didn't have a tank that I could devote to just the two Cichlids. I think the Black & White pattern is attractive in itself, but then you add the fins and the strength they exhibit while swimming it's amazing!!!! Anyway, just my two cents worth.
I think that's the beauty of this site, you can come on here and see pics of all kinds of Cichlids, comparing your taste with others, your stock with other's stock, your interest with other people's interest. I just wish more people would share pics of their stock so we could appreciate them as well. And of course, it's a great site to help and advice on. Thanks

I think they are pretty fish. Not that they are very colorful but as demps said they do have a nice blugreen sheen to them. Shows nice on the male in breeding dress. As for cubans. I love cubans wouldnt mind getting another pair one day.
Festae are amazing as far as colors but everyone has them. Select few have went the way of the ODO from close to fry to full grown, and they lived to share.
