Today I removed all the gravel out of the tank and changed the water. Added Melafix and salt. Lets see how it goes.

Your doing a good job with him! I would add pimafix too. It can be used in combination with melafix and imo the combo is more effective against internal/external bacterial infections and fungal infections.

I remember from the other thread you changed filters on the tank to decrease water movement. Did you do it such a way as to not upset your cycle? Transfer the old media to the new filter or was the new filter already cycled?

Yeah. I actually cut a piece of foam from the original tank that he was in when he got attacked and have been transferring it over to the new filters.

Good to hear. Do you have a test kit to keep an eye on ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates? If not i would recommend getting one cuz any problems with water quality and he may go south in a hurry.

:WHOA: I can not believe he survived that. Even more, I can't believe he is still alive. Amazing job with that fish!

You're doing a great job, man. I hope every single person who flamed you to euthanize it is eating their words right now. I'm definitely a fan of the little dude, keep up the good work and the updates.

How the hell did a pair of Jacks do that much damage? Incredible. Lucky little Oscar survived that.
