Actually no. Just the weird discoloration. But hes acting quite normal. So we will see

Hmmm...I'm a nubie but I've had the same thing happen to I Oscar I purchased from Walmart.

A few days after I had him he appeared to have scale damage on his side as if he'd gotten beaten up. After a week or so I noticed his tail started vanishing. I eventually found out it was fin rot.

Unfortunately I dont have a picture of him the day I had to put him in fish heaven.
