Halloween is going to SUCK this year

up here in upstate ny...there are no foreclosed homes in sight.. there must be some but you would have to hunt to find them... things never change much here... the prices never went sky high in the first place so they did not fall either.. when all the homes were going for big dollars in other states all was stagnant here..i was surprised that ours changed so little.. now i am happy of course.. but i feel bad for other neighborhoods.. i could not amagine empty houses all around me,...we do have higher taxes here though which i quess turns alot of people away ..businesses and new home building only happens on occasion.. nothing changes though so in that respect it is good..

some people frown on people that do that. But the simple matter is, the banks got greedy. Made loans they shouldnt have.

For us, the home we bought, we still like. But just in the last 3 years we've been here, the neighborhood has gone WAAAY South. Literally. All the people escaping the violence from Baja Mexico are moving in right here. And they are bringing a lot of gang members with them.

We'll never regain our equity or our nice neighborhood.
I'm not paying out the ying yang for a place thats worth rocks.

For us, its no question really. We are OUT of here one way or another.
