  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i cant wait

the devils are like 6-7 inches from head to tail maybe. not positive about the exact length but its looks like it

We made our first trip out to see Wes' place today, my wife called ahead to make sure they were open and that the new fish were in. Wes knew right away who we were when we walked in the door. His shop is nice but a little smaller than I imagined it would be, but he has some really cool fish. We came armed to the teeth with $$ and those big styrofoam boxes for transporting fish but the only thing that caught my wife's eye is that grouper in the front tank (you gotta go just to see that fish!) :woot:
Wes seems to be an all-round good guy, we were suprised when he found out we were MFK members, he gave us some decals & bracelets, now I have to wash the car!

I know we'll be keeping an eye on his stocklist.

Keep `em Swimmin' !

Caranx papuensis 2" freshwater jack trevally, if you don't know what it is, it most resembles an amber jack or tuna fish, but freshwater. These are delicate fish when young, grows to 90cm or more, no warranty or guarantees. I've lost 75% of them during shipping, the remaining few are doing well, eating like a champ. This is a debut in this country. I've heard in Hawaii, they have some huge ones living in a pond outside of a resturant, they'd benefit from a little bit of salt in their water.

All of the above fish, every fish in my store, including my discus, have aprox. 3 tablespoons of rock salt to a gallon of freshwater. Salt has natural disease fighting properties, its bacterial static/cidal, and helps fight off many parasitic infections. The exact amount of salt is not measured, nor detectable on a regular hydrometer of any kind.
