I only have a few 125 gallon tanks but I would really like to have a Moba Colony. In order to have a Moba Colony, I will have to get rid of some fish. Should I get rid of these fish or just suck it up and do without the Africans? I'm a bit tired of aggression in some of these fish. These are the fish that I would have to get rid of:

Oscar
Female Jack Dempsey
Male Jack Dempsey
Gutalatum
Med size Gar

Please let me know what you think.

I'm attached to my current fish, the gar will have to go one day. He was in a little 20 gallon tank when I rescued him, but is now starting to outgrow the 125. He is about 13 inches long. I really like my JD male, but I'm not a huge fan of the female. I could get rid of the female and move the JD to a 75, but I kind of hate to break the pair apart. I'm not getting rid of my Jag. I love that fish.

If you had Parachromis, you wouldn't be having this dilemma.

I have another tank with Synspilum, 2 Bocourti, Regani, Trimac, Amarillo, Bifasiatum, Lyonsi, and a Pink Fenestratum.

i would just drop the oscar and grab something from ken davis (fish far) he's not too far from you

AFRICANS!

you got pretty common ones try branching out. I got everything from severums to festaes and texas, get along pretty well in my 150

CA/SA > africans... Hehe. Predatory instincts/differences in color patterns FTW.
