Just dont buy from the link i started this thread with. The guy is not professional and i only got half my order even though i paid for a whole order. He insists on placing the 40-50 pound sand in unreinforced flat rate post office boxes, the boxes split open in route then he wont believe you when you say it didnt all arrive. Couldnt remember if i mentioned this or not earlier in the thread.

I just got home with 3 50lb bags.
There are a lot of warnings on the side of this stuff - like be sure to wash hands when coming into contact.... I really hope this stuff is safe.
I paid $18.00 a 50lb bag.

I'll give it a shot in a few weekends - as I have other stuff to do this weekend. One thing for sure - I will wash this stuff first before putting into the tank.

Well I liked the black sand so much I ordered 200lbs from the second link in my first post in this thread.to get a discount and free shipping.
The post office wouldnt deliver the boxes saying they were too heavy.So I drove 22 miles round trip and opened the first box.
200lbs of black t grade colorquartz is what I ordered 190lbs of white aquarium sand is what I got.Even though It clearly states black t grade colorquartz in the email I first sent him which is still reflected in the reply he sent me today!!!
Now he is not responding to my emails.I shoulda stuck with petco I think I just got ripped off.
Correction 185 lbs of sand I just took the boxes out of the car,want to be ready to go fishin 1st thing in the morning if it isnt raining.
Called him about the lack of reply.He said he was just replying to my email very busy today.Oh no here comes another truck can you call me back in a half hour,I said my long distance rates stink these calls arent free,he took my number and said he will call back in 30 min(75 min ago).Got the reply to my email a few min after we hung up.In my email I had told him that the post office wouldnt deliver them stating they were too heavy,22 mile round trip to pick up.And I had opened one of the boxes.He wants me to write return to sender on the boxes and bring them back to the post office.No mention was made about sending me the correct order.No return call either.

Still wont reply to my emails.Im now trying to get my money back through paypal.Not holding out much hope I hear Its not too good unless its an ebay deal.Man I wish I used my Visa this would be easy,but I had a bunch of $$ in there from fish sales.Live and learn hope nobody else gets burned by this guy.
Thats the same rip off artist as I origninally dealt with. He changed the name of his business . I also used pay pal and if you do a complaint make sure that you watch him . He went behind my back and repeatedly told them i changed my mind and was a "happy customer" and that we had settled the dispute to my satisfaction, he actually told them that i wanted him to request them to drop my complaint on my behalf. He is a scumbag, con man, I really want to call him other names but they will just be bleeped out !! I have several names that rhyme with tucker .... Sorry it happended to you. I also think if you file your complaint you should becareful that you dont click the button for item not as ordered. They will deny your complaint, you have to list it as you did not receive 200 pounds of sand.
