Hard to find 3M black quartz and Premium black sand

Wow, you guys had a nightmare getting the stuff. I'm near Oklahoma City and we've got a little family owned Tile company here that sells the stuff for $18 for 50 lbs. The older woman and her son that run it are SO nice. She always says, "You're the lady who has the little catfish!" (my Corys). They've got every color in stock. Heck we can't get fish in this state any rarer than Green Terrors yet we've got this sand that so many people on so many forums look so hard for? How ironic.
 
Your very lucky to be able to get that great sand. It was a nightmare for me and a costly learning experience since i dont often order over the internet. Now i do it even less often LOL.
 
So if I send him back his sand Im guessing thats it Im SOL.
Maybe I should keep it and see if I can sell it locally to get some of my cash back.
Sucks either way.
 
If you send the sand back two things could happen. One, he could keep the sand and not send you any of the black sand or he would not send you the whole order cause the jerk would try to say you kept the sand he never sent you in the first place (the sand he shorted you on, thats what he did to me ). You could try to sell the white sand for what you paid for it but you would still have to try to find the original black sand and you might not get top dollar. Neither option sounds good to me...:(
 
Live and learn I hope no one else gets burned by this guy.Whats really aggravating is paypal continues to collect money for a guy they know is ripping people off.
 
I'm in the middle of talking with a guy that does pools for some hookups on that colorquartz. He said it would be 20 or 30 for a 50 lb bag. I'll be pretty pumped if it goes through.
 
Just got an angry and insulting email from the guy.He said my correct order is on its way!Also said he wont accept any further orders from me!As if!:ROFL:
He also tried to imply the mistake was somehow not his and said he will use legal action to get his white sand back if Im unwilling to give it back.Never wanted white sand got no reason to be mean about it, its not in my nature.
Oh well live and learn Ill keep you guys posted as it develops.
 
So he actually shipped it out on 9/8 recieved 106lbs of black sand,not colorquartz so far.Im easy Ill consider the matter settled if he gets close to 200lbs to me.
This is following the same pattern cichlidgirl's interaction with him went.Maybe Im dense but I dont see how he manages to make any money doing things this way.Colorquartz if dirt cheap in bulk, he could have been done with me a month ago.

I know exactly what to make of him. Sorry i cant expand on that as it would involve words that rhyme with "tucker" and other very unladylike vocabulary. I wish you luck but would not hold my breath. He is such a liar, he told me he had all these problems cause he was so "new" and had just started selling to the aquarium hobby. He even wanted to use pics of my tanks with his sand in it on his website. Real winner, not.
