Sorry it's not really working out for you guys, but hear this. That pool guy I mentioned called me back and said 50lbs would be $75. I was like bump that, and I kept looking. I called another pool place, and they said "oh yeah, mike (not his real name) from agazzi (the first place place) called us about colorquartz the other day." As it turns out, the first guy was getting his colorquartz that he was going to sell me from this new pool place. This new place said it would be $40 and that was at cost. Mike at agazzi thought he was going to take me for $35. I'm still not paying $40 though, so kept calling around and I finally found it from SPC distributors for 18 bucks for 50lbs. I got two bags and got my 150 lookin' fresh. Actually, I only used one bag and I've got another to put in my other tanks. SPD distributors are all over Texas and maybe in other places so look there guys. Really just check all pool builders, suppliers, and distributors.

As for the white sand. Most Mbuna and malawi look good with white sand. Here is a pick of my white sand , i took a couple bags of fine black gravel and mixed it in to break up the whiteness, then added in some rockwork . Looks good and the fish like the bigger bits to move around. Here is a pic from when i had it in with the mbuna and malawi.

Ill figure out something to do with it.I do have over 40 tanks some of the barebottom are going to get some white sand I suppose.

Thanks, i was just showing you if you get sick of the white you can add in some other colored gravel to spice it up. It also helps to keep it cleaner looking between vacuming .
