Hardiest fish you ever had to find?

I'd say the hardiest fish I ever kept was probably the tigershovelnose redtail cross. He's a tank. He's survived being moved between like 4 different tanks and a tropical pond and he's still growing like crazy. Didn't really have to search for him though. He was just there one day.

The only fish I have ever had trouble getting ahold of was my silver arowana, but that was only because I went looking for them when they weren't "in season." Around here, they are most common during the spring and early summer; after that, they can be pretty difficult to find for a reasonable price, and I got mine in September (2009). I looked for maybe 2 weeks before I finally just decided to wait until spring, but then I just happened upon it while I was at an lfs looking for different fish.

My less common species where more impulse buys; although, in the case of my rarest species, the Synodontis frontosa, I had been looking at it at the lfs for over a year before I finally decided to buy it despite the insane price they were asking (it was probably the only reason they had it for so long without someone else buying it).

for me its been a 4 year mess looking for a giga. i either cant find them or i hear that place has them then miss out. btw im still looking anyone got one?

Still looking for a couple of fish.

when there's a will there's a way lol it's fun to just go through the thread realizing we definitely have an addiction lol. let me reword that... PASSIONATE is better word than addiction.
hardest for me to get was an rtc and my S.aro. dont see it much here in lfs.
I wish i can get stingrays!!!
