Not sure what they teach nowdays, been a few years since I was in school. Sorry I must have missed the part regarding gun control, then again not sure it was an issue back then.

I am just asking a question from a neutral point of view. I don't own any guns, in my 42 years I've never seen the need to own one. Don't really have any concerns with who does own them or what type as long as it's responsable ownership.

My view is that I hear alot more promotion on the second amendment then I do as far as gun control. Do typical gun owners really feel there is a chance of loosing your second amendment rights?

If you do not understand the basis of the Second amendment then trying to have a "casual conversation" is rather moot.

watched the movie just now and i really like it. but it was weird seeing charlie sheen be serious. all the movies ive seen him in he was funny, with the exception of "crash". still a very good movie.

And no I didnt just get Red Dawn. Its been one of my favorite movies since I was like 13. Its just that in my other recent thread in the lounge regarding my two new pickups I got into a discussion with a member who has an Egyptian AKM and that reminded me of the movie as the AKMs used were Egyptian made. One thought lead to another and I decided to make a thread on a NON-gun site dedicated to this movie. Hopefully we can get some younger folks as excited about our rights and our country as I did when I was younger.

You are right though, Red Dawn threads are staple on any gun board!
