there is a lfs near me that uses these on all their tanks . they are cheap and have uv . i am concerned with volume levels so i went around listening to them and some of them had gotten very loud . that is my pet peeve in a filter . now some of them were NOT loud so i don't know what the variables were there . they had been running for about 2 years .

why thank you for telling me you have one and that it works good what are the pros and cons you have noticed ive read the handles on the bakets break off but thats the only con i can find so far i would love to know more of your experiance of these and how long you have had it

I bought this filter a month ago, and have it running currently on a ray tank. It was very easy to set up, easy to prime, and is the quietest filter in my house bar none. It's very large for the price (9"x9"x15") and has a very good flow rate. I am thinking about buying another one soon for another tank...
