I wanted to know if anyone on this site have experience with an aggressive female tank. I was thinking About cichlds like festae, rtm, ebjd, etc in a 180 gal.I F you tried this let me know, or give me some ideas plan on ordering this week

female: gt pink convict salvini

female jag, convicts, texas, mota, out of the bunch in a 150 I had 5 female convicts and they were the worst of all ..hit and run was there game, same agression as males just on a smaller scale provide lots of hiding places and dithers should help alot.Females get more nesty on the bottom so forget catfish they will be toast. Its hard to sex when they are young so I just weeded the males out as they got older.

Its possible, you would have to buy a few juvies of each to ensure you get a female.

Female Haitiensis can be very nasty. Female dovii as well.

I have female festae in with severums. its nasty when she strikes. I do have one severum that does not back down. shes the only one thats fins are intact.

Well, you've got to consider that females will still lay eggs and defend their nest even if they aren't fertilized. Can multiply aggression quite a bit if they all decide to lay at the same time.

It can be done, but choose your species wisely. I wouldn't put Geos. with Amphilophus for sure. LoL

No geo's just female: festae, ebjd, rtm, maybe a sagitae or xiloensis how does that sound all have crazy colors can anyone recommend other beatiful color females
