HAS ANYONE KEPT A AGGRESSIVE FEMALE TANK

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a female loisellei who use to rule my one tank until my male jack dempsey finally tweeked one day and almost killed her. That broke her spirit and she now lives with my male jaguar. Who ironically has killed any fish I've put with him but this loisellie.

From what I've seen dovii should never be housed in a cichlid community. I hear it is possible to keep them with other fish while they are young. But as they grow so does there aggresion and the are the tanks of the cichlid world. I would trade the dovii for a jag. And I try to incorperate salvinis in any aggresive tank since they stay pretty small but can hold there own and they bring a yellow that is second to none. Just My thoughts.
