Has anyone seen a patchy IT?

Now I dont mean an unstable one with dark blotches. I mean a true "patchy" IT.

I just picked up a little one that is around an inch. Ive owned about 30ITs and picked through 150+ and I have never seen anything like this one.

He is a cream yellow like an NTT with very odd funky bars. They are so patchy that that there are blotches of yellow inside the bars! The bars are very broken and undefine like an NGT but with out the "black in the yellow" like NGTs have. He is a symmetrical 4-bar with FNFB and 100% stable!

I cant wait to grow him out!

Pics as soon as I get a good one and its tough! :irked:

PS I also picked out a perfect 4-bar with smooth, even symmetrical bars and very stable. I cherry picked him out of a group of 40.

John PTC has a nice big 1 in is tank.
 
They (small ITs) are every where around me againg but more then last year. Last year they were $12.95 but this year $19.95 :irked:

The odd thing is that odd bars, split bars, un-symmetrical bars were common last year and nearly all are 4-bar symmetricals this year. I wonder if it has anyhting to do with collection point.

What state are u in? I think thats still a good price for ITs..I paid $40 for a 3.5"er.

What size r yours?

I would have thought a expert soon to be breeder would know all about patchy tigers :D

patchy ST was a craze that started in singapore when surpplys of good grade ST started to run dry

normally people wouldnt have even thought twice about buying the lower grade so called patchy ST and they would normaly be thrown back by the exporters

as surpplys started to run dry the grade of ST dropped lower and lower then someone started to tell people the patchy ST was cool starting a craze

must be one of thows things only a long term tiger keeper would know
