I saw a thread where someone had a female that went into an intense coloration and looked like a yellow festae. it was cool and the only time ive seen that on here. maybe its somethong In their natural water that everyones missing

I believe that was a conversation about GMfishnut where it was claimed by himself that he spawned them and said he would post pics..... and im still waiting LOL
Oh ok, I dunno if that's the same thread but I do know that George said he spawned them and explained coloration similar to that but haven't seen any pics or updates
That fish is suppper nice, hope one of my ten end up looking like that lol. How can you tell its a female though, do you sex them like festae?
Are yours in a tank alone? if not what are your tank mates..
It would be interesting to see what these breeding ponds consist of ( pond mates, how many oratum, lots of drift wood, sand substrate, flow, dark waters, temp, gallons, water perameters?) Don't understand why this cant be done in a big tank. Im currently replacing my 120 for a 300. All thats going into the 300 is a pair of jd, now im thinking about putting the ten ornatums in the 300 and the two Jd in the 150. I would try to simulate a pond full of them so they could possible pair off and do there thing.. Anyone know where theres any info on these breeding ponds?
