I know, you guys don't care to do this because you can get Asians but think of us poor Americans, scheming and dreaming of a colorful aro.
I cant get them either, but if I could get a JarxAsian I wouldn't even if it was for free. You take a beautiful fish (Jar or Asian) and then screw it up by mating it with a different species to create a filthy hybrid with mud in its veins, yuk!
Americans have one of two options to owning Asians 1 involves Gaol and the other involves not being American. Make your choice or go with out, I made my choice, I go without.

I also cant get all but two Cichlasoma and most other large Cichlids/Catfish/American Natives/Non Australian Aros/Dats/Birchir/FW Rays/P Bass/Non AU Lungfish/Pike Cichlids/Snake Heads, others have it harder then you guys in America so suck it up.

Come on Aussies, get to work at line breeding these. It's your backyard for selective breeding.

Why don't you do the same with the Silvers and Blacks, I see patches of colour in them, work on that.

i still wouldn't do it. like already mentioned. why hybrid these fish to satisify an american hungry for a colorful arowana.

if u want colorful, look for strong colored jardini or leichardti

get a beautiful hand picked silver with nice red and feed color enhancing all its life

or, be a black market man and jus buy one.

i couldn't get an asian, so i bought a leichardti. i am very pleased and its not a cross bred mix. jus solid pure beauty

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the pond.
Yeah, its greener on your side then it is my side, they are plenty of beautiful fish out there, if you can't find one you like you really aren't looking hard enough. If you can find one you like and cant posses it, tough luck. If you start crossing aros you'll have the same problem as with Flowerhorn/trimac. Unless you get a wild caught or line bred trimac you don't really know what your getting. Why would you want this to happen to Arowana as well?
