Has "LOL" replaced periods at the end of a sentence?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I got into a discussion with a fellow who posted that he was "literally ROTFLMAO". It started with a joke about how it must be uncomfortable for him to no longer have a bum. It got much uglier from there. The concepts of literality and hyperbole were apparently too much for him.

So, yeah. LOL or something.

I only use "lol" when I actually think something is funny. It gets on my nerves a little when people use it for no good reason, like "I like bichirs lol", but I don't think it really makes sense to stop using an acromnym just because a lot of other people use it. I hate it when people will say "lulz" in place of "lol", that doesn't make sense at all to me, what is that supposed to stand for "lighting up little zebras?" :screwy: I even know a few people who will say that in an actual conversation.
