Would thes work with a crayfish? Only reason im thinking this is I doubt the cray can get to them... Do they sleep on the surface?:)

You might be ok, but I wouldn't want to try it personally. Watch for jumping with hatchets, even the smallest hole is enough for them to commit suicide.

give it a g, i have hatchets in my 10.... theyre fun to watch, theyre always doing sumthin silly

it worked, but eventually the cray started praying on other fish, so i had to let it go. fish and lobsters/crayfish arent always the best companions for fish, but i think hatchets might work, if there is no easy way for it to sit and ambush the top portion of the tank

Ok. ^^ They can't jump out. There is a screen over the entire top. :) My cray isn't very agressive either.:naughty:

I think hatchetfish should be fine.

I had a crab catch a Needlefish which never ventured into the bottom half of my 75. I don't know how he caught him. However, I did see that crab jump and swim to the top of a 20 to catch a piece of shrimp so it's possible. Crays can't jump but they are good climbers.
