how i do it?

i put a pack of 8 ounce frozen brine shrimp in my saltwater tank and i had at least 3dozen baby brines end up eating my mulous(clam), i had 3 of them they were killed and eatin by my brine shrimp!:swear:

the first 2 i two out without lookin in side of them because they stank really bad!

i had it in 40g breeder and a 110g water filter and change the water every 5-7days. i was wondering what the heck was going on????:screwy:

LEsson learned......

NEVER PUT FROZEN BRINE SHRIMP IN A SALT WATER TANK THAT HAS CLAM(S) THE BABY BRINE SHRIMP CAN STILL BE ALIVE AFTER FROZEN AND WILL EAT YOUR CLAM

Did the brine shrimp get any clam shell stuck between their teeth?

Seriuosly I think it was probably something else that killed your clams. Just coincidence that it happened while you were feeding frozen brine shrimp. Did you see any shrimp swimming around?

Alive after freezing...? How can this be possible? I'll need to keep my eyes open 4 that next time I pop a cube in my tank. Still don't see how they could "re-animate" after freezing....Zombie Brine Shrimp! Could it have been dormant eggs that were hatched out by the process of you putting them into your marine tank?

When I had angel fry I hatched bbs. Then I figured out I could just buy some frozen bbs and the fry still went mad for them! Much easier than messing with all the hatching process!

True enough - it's easier, but I reckon the fry get more out of chasin live shrimp than dead shrimp and live will be more nutritious than frozen.
Good point though, but it's still fun to learn to hatch them - give it a try.

dude, none of that crap is possible or true

his clams died of something else

brine shrimp arent even carnivorous

the main diet of brine is micro algae

but but will also eat yeast, wheat flour, soybean powder, or egg yolk.

Redtail Watcher - are you SURE it was brine shrimp ate your clam (!)
(That would make a good National Enquirer headline!)

Forgot to say - one of the main reasons I feed live bbs to fry is that they stay alive for a while in the tank, usually until the fry have eaten them all. It means that there isn't uneaten dead shrimp sittin in a corner polluting my fry tank.
