How does this violate any rules? I don't understand. I am going to eat dinner and will be right back to check this thread. Hopefully I will get some advise. Thanks to all who are helping

He just gave you the best advice you're going to get man... I'd call them up in the morning, tell them what you have and where you got them from, and they'll take them from you.
I don't believe you're penalized for turning them in yourself; only if you're caught with them

fisheries and wildlife major? This may put your career in jeopardy. I suggest u move them to a friends house tonight or tom. They are asian aros for sure. You must be trolling im outta here

If you do turn them in, try to see if they'd donate them to a aquarium in the area. Most city aquariums are allowed to harbor illegal species of fish for educational purposes. It's much better than the fish being "put down" by the government

You can't use MFK to try to move/sell/buy illegal fish or any other animal species.

Actualy wanttokeeptrout. Im from ontario canada and can tell you for a fact snakeheads are illegal in canada. Only province you can legally buy them is BC, and there sold in grocery stores as food not pets. Trust me, I live here and visit bc annualy.

i thought tropicals were okay to own (not that I could hope to keep any as adults), the snakehead always talked about as illegal is the northern snakehead.

then wouldnt it make sence to let fish keepers breed them?

Thats the biggest argument in legalizing them. I personally believe they should be legal so that fisheries and dedicated fish-keepers can start breeding them in captivity to keep the species alive, but it's pretty far down on the governments to-do list and they don't really think the way most fish-keepers do; soooo.... For now, they're illegal
