This is getting a little ridiculous.
Let me tell you a story. When I was sixteen I ordered a proven breeding pair of yellow anacondas. For $500 Canadian at the time it was a steal. You couldn't buy babies for less then $300 in Canada at the time. Even though it was a little too good to be true I went with it.
Sent the guy the money, he told me he would ship them the next week. The next week he was too busy to ship and he would ship them the next week. That week came around (this was almost 3 weeks after I sent him the money). He emails me and tells me that the male was hiding under the water dish and the female got into the dish and ended up crushing the male. Thought it was a tad crazy, but I've seen crazier. Female anacondas are significantly larger then males, so it could happen. He told me that he could get me a young male to replace him and then through in a baby white lip. So now I was getting an adult female proven breeder yellow anaconda, a baby male and a baby white lip python. Roughly a $1000 value (at the time in Canada) for $500. Life was sweet.
I had kept in touch with him over the next few weeks while he tracked me down my new male. Through those conversations he had told me about the other animals he had in stock and eventually I was talked into ordering a baby sulcatta (for $300) and a baby frilled dragon (for $200). I had now sunk $1000 into the order and was awaiting my animals.
About 6 weeks after I originally sent him the money he emailed me and told me he would ship them later that week. We arranged a date, I got a waybill number, and I sent him about $150 for shipping.
At this point, 6 weeks later, $1150 in the waybill number was cancelled the day before and I never heard from him again. His website disappeared, his email was disabled and he stopped answering my phone calls.
Putting a few hours into writing emails or sitting on the phone with the "customer" and getting $1000 + is a good return. Evening getting a couple hundred is a good return. Frig if I could get a couple hundred bucks for sitting on the phone for a couple hours talking about fish and writing a few emails I would be a happy man.
I want to you realize the reality of whats going on. You can defend him till your face is blue, but it's not going to get your fish.
It's nice to see someone who still has a positivity like yours, and it's refreshing to see someone who is so open to trusting others. But seriously man. I'm a member of multiple forums the common consensus everywhere is that the guy is a scammer, and the evidence in this situation point towards a scam. This makes me believe that your positivity and trust in people is a result of naivety. If at least in this situation.
I wish you luck. I hope you do get your fish. If you do, I will eat my words.
