Cut your losses man. I've been in this hobby for over a decade now and have kept rays for well over half of that. I've not only been a hobbyist, but I've been an importer/exporter and ran a home retail business. I know the best and worst of the hobbies. This smelled of a scam when I read the first few posts.
Don't feel too bad though. You are not alone, this (unfortunately) happens to good (often naive) hobbyists all the time. Even I have been in your shoes before.
Money comes and goes, it sucks to lose it, but it isn't worth the headaches. At least you've learned a very valuable (and expensive) lesson. Take the time to recuperate, spend the money on a nice set up and search for some extra nice marbles. There aren't very many rays that can rival a top of the line marble. Plus you can get a stunning ray for under four digits with marbles. Currently Jeff Rapps has some really nice cb marbles. He's legit, great guy to deal with.
Then later down the road, after you've learned the ropes with some cheaper rays, invest in some black rays.
That's just my opinion though. 6 years ago I bought my first Motoro, spent $150. The fish was tough enough to deal with the random mistakes I made. I learned the ropes and since then I have been lucky to keep, motoros, marbleds, leopoldi, henlei, sp. xingu, flowers, tigers, scobina, boesemani etc.
