currently I'm going to be only getting my flowers tommorrow. But, that's fine because that's what I told him I wanted on monday. I told nate flowers this week and MM's next week. I just thought maybe I could sneak in all 4.
What med's are you talking about DB? I have pimafix, melafix and aquarium salt on hand. But, I would hope that I would not need to do anything? Nate has been QT the rays for a few weeks now. There all active and feeding.

What else would you expect to hear from a salesman?

I know Marbles pretty well..... I've never recieved a clean one. I've lost many. Learned a thing or 2 on the way. Maybe I'm unlucky, maybe my tanks are stressfull or maybe I have different standards then most. Who knows. All I know is I've been through a lot with Marbles to get me where I am now. And I continue to learn everyday. Even after 5 years when I asked about rays I'll be the first to tell you I don't know squat, I've just been slightly experienced. IF I did know squat you wouldn't be able to find flaws in my systems, and my systems are all full of flaws.

IF I was going to purchase one these days my tank would be up and going right now WITH a drip system allready running on it. I'd have allready seeded bio from another tank ready to transfer to thier tank. The last thing you wanna do is use new rays to cycle a tank. I prefer 75 gallon tanks for QT. All this would be done long before I even start worrying about what a ray costs.

Meds.... I keep several meds on hand. I can't just drive to the LFS and get Meds. They have to be ordered and time is priceless in certain situations. My buddy that keeps some of my rays follows the same protocol.

I have Pima on hand too.... Likely always will. The same unopened bottles been with me for years and likely will continue to be. It's useless with rays. If you have fungal issues you're gonna need something much stronger.

Something you need to understand about this hobby is no one who makes $ on selling fish is gonna throw one extra nickel on a fish they don't plan on keeping for themselves. Call it QT, call it whatever you want. I prefer to call holding a fish that's waiting to be bought "wasting away" because that is exactly what it's doing. Everything eats at an importer/exporter/middleman's facility. Just ask the right person. ;)

Talk about bringing me down :WHOA: DB,lol,jk. My tank is cycled it's been running for a few years.
I'm sorry you've had bad luck with marbles in the past. I understand that sellers are just in it for the money. I will keep a close eye on all of my rays once I get them.
Every new stingray owner will have good and bad experiences. I'm a noob stingray owner. But, I will only get better as a learn from my mistakes.
