When I say 86ed I mean immediately got rid of it out of frustration . I had to do it for the first time today. You see Ive been raising this little Leporinis for a year. When I bought it he was 2'' long and it was sorta mellow. Today it WAS a healthy 6'' little killer. In the past few months it has killed and consumed 10+ corys, 8 swordtail platys, and this week alone 18 black neons (strange for a vegetarian fish). But today it crossed the line and tore into 2 of my 6 little tapajos orangehead geos. 1 of them (my dominant male) died and the other is gonna lose sight in 1 of his eyes. I was so pissed off that I immediately netted the culprit and flushed it down the toilet. I had no other tank available to put it in and had to be at work in an hour so I just did it to save my prized geos from furthur damage. Have any of you all ever taken similar measures with a fish?? Just curious as if you have it wont make me feel so bad....... I do feel horrible about it, as it was a very handsome fish.....

What a stupid thing to do , don't you think after it killed say.. 10 of your fish it might of been a good Idear to re-home it?

Leporinis are a very nippy fish when there bigger. Pays to research what you keep.

Oh.. and no i haven't killed a fish ( that hasen't been a feeder)
Youc an always dump it in a bucket and drop it off @ a LFS then you get time.

i freed my pacu's into a pond in front of my hospital...i needed my tank and those pacu's were given to me as RBP's...
i put in some seeds/grapes etc everyday i pass from there

Ummm...no I have never killed a fish for hurting other fish. That's why pet stores take fish back or adopt them.

Oh, I also have never killed an inocent baby either, which is just as helpless.
