Today i went to the local pet store here in town with the intensions to add a jack dempsy to my 55g chichld tank . proceeded to buy a healthy jack and some water cond. in order to do a 25% water change with the new addition. Got home did the water change as well as some aquascaping added the jack and turned my back to get some water to add and there was no jack. i assumed he had found a great hidding spot but after a lot of looking no jack. Best guess is that it jumped and my dog got it because it is no where to be found. have you ever lost a fish?

I lost a peacock eel, never did find it.

I lose every pleco that goes into my cichlid tank- ramcharger1979.

Thast diffrent mine was not food it just vanished. poof gone.

One time, when I was working at a pet shop, there was a 125 gallon tank, that was pretty much bare. It had in it a 1 foot oscar and a 2 foot koi. One day, I looked in, and the Koi was gone! We scrambled to check records to find if it was sold but it wasn't, looked around frantically for about fifteen minutes but couldnt find it. I got all the other employees in the store to look and we found it, it had jumped out and flopped back behind the tank, behind some bags of gravel, and got wedged in a corner. I got it and put it back in and it recovered once we got all the paper and fuzz off it. Thank god.

I also went through a phase of trying to add community fish to my CK tank to see which ones worked. Obviously, I lost all of them :) except some blue gouramis, which seem to get along well with CK when the CK is small.

Carlo was very happy for a few months there, until I ran out of money for expensive fish

I've lost tons of fish, because they were feeder fish !:D

i had an elephant head loach that i bought, and it disappeared. I figured it died and something ate it. three years later, it magically appeared again.
