T Thekid you should jump on that deal if it's still there, 500 usd for a pup of that grade would be considered cheap here in Asia let alone in the states. BD prices have a big variance on them depending on their quality. The lowest priced and highest priced can have a price difference of 15,000 usd. As with supply and demand and with a huge market of vendors who captively breed high end BDs, there is a constant inflow of new specimens. Fish die all the time, some while the keepers make mistakes, sometimes without explanation so in general the population of BDs isn't without a sink. The price per fish right now is affordable enough for many hobbyist to get into already. The harder to get or less common species such as xingu, snow leopard or boesmani are still way more expensive across the board because they are not being bred as aggressively and fast enough. perhaps in 4-5 years when the supply of them become abundant then the prices will come down a bit but as for stingrays in general, I don't think they will ever reach let's say motoro/pearl prices though.
