Heck no this was am inside job. My money is on an employee. Woke up today crapped his or her pants and returned it asap

They sure seem tight lipped about the recovery....news reports state that detectives returned Kalli to the zoo but little else.

They just said on the news here that the monkey was actually returned last night, so it's back safe. They also said they have no idea why someone took and then returned it. I'm guessing whoever took it probably didn't think it would get national attention so when it did they just freaked and returned it.

They probably returned it when they found out how much trouble she was....someone stole a meerkat from the K.C zoo years ago, turns out it was to much for them and they dropped it off at a petco
Then there was the couple who stole a Koala, then returned it when they couldn't figure out what it eats

someone probably tried to sell it on Craigslist or something, like that dude at work who stole the golf clubs from the multimillionaire Golfer at the Phoenix open, he tried to sell it on (I think Craigslist or letgo) they even had footage of him stealing the equipment, plus they also recovered like $800 or $900 dollars of stolen money and wallets and other lifted stuff
