WiJosh;2925463; said:it might be different there but in the states most tails are docked using a little very tight rubber band. the end of the tail dies and then just falls off eventually. just whacking it off with an ax is a terrible way to do it because there would be a higher chance of infection with the open wound. while it might seem inhumane docking tails is better for the over all health of the animal because they can get build up of poo inbetween the wool, butt, and tail and this can result in maggots which can begin to eat the live flesh of the animal...talk about painful and bad for your health.
