He has kamfa traits. Im so thrilled!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I afraid I will use needle poke the kok... always have an urge to do it haha
the kok size is all in the genes. your fh looks like he has a hard kok, a kok tht doesnt go really massive no matter what you do. you really have some experience in keepin fhs so why not buy some tht have big koks. super red dragons can be a start. if you want bigger ones, buy kamfas. their heads grow massive. thts how i play with flowerhorns. i gain experience bfore i go buy the more expensive and quality ones. they usually have it in most lfs. :D
A bit clarification here, some hard koks do grow big. apologise for that haha

i would stay away from live food cause tht can cause hexamita. go for dried or frozen foods (dried shrimp/bloodworms) food that are made for fish. i feed mine chicken heart sometimes to give him some fat for kok growing once a week. but nver live food. wouldnt wan to take a risk

Yes.. better as a treat. usually people use fish as feeders. nver seen people use frogs. if the frogs are from a fish store its safer. Wild frogs contain more parasites
