Like the people who shop for fish at walmart even care though.

It sucks, but walmart fish stores are different all around the country. They used to sell stingrays too. They are completely irresponsible and just another evil empire trying to make money at the expense of a live animal. So I bet you can't guilt trip them into treating fish poorly when they don;t really have that great of a track record for treating their employees fairly, and if they don't sympathize for humans I doubt they will for fish.
 
All of the Walmarts around me don't sell fish anymore. That's a good thing and I hope they continue to get rid of their live fish departments.
 
BP are also a kind of crossbreed . And why they cut them of . As when they come out as small BP . Most their tails is twisted or unnormal shape. So those seller will be hard to sell them out. Then they start cutting them out like that. Then with time to time people are getting used to . It's become normal to those breeder . For those BP they can live more than 6 years as i have seen . Depending on food and water condition.

bought it not knowing....
never really seen a blood parrot or I would have known, it was just interesting looking and a beautifu orange color.
I've debated taking it back, but if I do chances are its more likely to die not sure what I'm going to do with it.
right now its in a planted community 55g tank with several hiding places.
it seems to be happy got its spot picked out since the rest of the fish or danios tetras barbs a rope and dojo's its left alone and well fed (live earthworms and the like)
thoughts?

ps seems to be fairly happy swims to the glass when you walk by
awkward little bugger though.
 
OOpps! I just bought 2 of these guys :S, like some others I thought it was a mutation and had no idea their tails were cropped...that sucks! Poor little guys...they seem happy enough and I guess on the plus side they now have a nice home, I bought them cs I felt sorry for them!

On a more light hearted note, when I put them in my tank my other 2 "normal" parrots were like, "What the f**K?!!"
