Heater cooked by bichir

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry for your loss :rip I run hydors and visi-therms in my tanks with no problems yet (knock on wood)

Thanks everyone. Here's are some pics of my ornate. I was looking into getting another bichir for some time but I won't get another ornate.... for now at least. He was around 4-5" when I got him about a year ago, I did not measure him post mortem, but the box he was buried in was a foot long and he just made it in

I buried him a my indoor tree's pot. I know that there are living earth worms in the pot but besides that there's nothing. Do you think that was an ok move, will he decompose alright?

I'm sorry to hear that Meghan... :(

I know it's tough to get over... Hang in there.

Sorry to hear this sad story.
Just remember it's allways darkest just before dawn.
Things are gonna change.
I can understand your anger, your fish was indeed one of the most beautiful fish i.ve seen lately.
Hope you can find a new one. That would ease the pain a little.
Hang in there!

Thanks Stump, I had a huge hissy fit about it, then put myself back into the perspective that you have to focus on the good stuff, instead of the **** which you can not change.

If only there was an evil pet semitary close to me ................

Thanks, I really liked his coloring, and of course he was my special little man cause he was mine. Wished I could have kept him to seen his full potential and will not get another ornate till I can find one that can compare.

Sorry for your loss... This scares me, because I have 2 stealth heaters running right now.:nilly: Ive always wanted to run a heater and chiller at he same time, just in case the heater goes crazy.
