  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just oredere 2 heater guards when i get them I will remove the fluval ones and see what happens

Took the fluval heater guard off today and the was krud every where all over the heater cleaned it up and put an after market guard on so far my tank is up to temp and I have removed the second heater . I will have a better idea tomorow as the house heating is on but it looks like the guard is the issue bad design will do the other tank next week.

Next you'll have to compare clean, unclogged original guards vs. clean aftermarket guards...

yes well I have an after market guard on an interpet heater and it has'nt clogged at all I origionaly had a fluval in that tank and removed it for the same reason of not heating the tank. That fluval guard was clean inside but still didnt heat the tank to the desired temp. The after market guard has a lot more ventilation. Cheked this morning and the temp is praticaly the same as yesterday and I have no heating on in that room at the moment looks like I will be saving a bit on electriity as well instead of needein 4 heaters I will only need 2.
